Job Description:

Hospital security officers should be physically fit, as they often need to stand or walk for long periods and may need to lift objects up to 80 lbs. They should also be able to empathize with patients and visitors and communicate effectively with other hospital departments.
Responsibilities of a Hospital Security Officer include:

• Patrolling the hospital and surrounding areas to prevent unauthorized entry and detect unsafe conditions.
  
• Monitoring surveillance systems and hospital equipment.
  
• Controlling access to the hospital to ensure only authorized individuals are allowed entry.
  
• Responding to security incidents and emergencies.
  
• Assisting with evacuations during emergencies.
  
• Administering first aid or CPR in emergency situations.
  
• Reporting security-related information to the security control center and manager.
  
• Escorting individuals to ensure their safety and security.
  
• Completing daily activity and incident reports.
