Job DescriptionWe are looking for an Experienced Plumbing Purchasing Agent to service our customers in the Northern Virginia and Maryland area.This is an excellent opportunity for applicants who have at least 3+ years of experience ordering parts for a plumbing companyJob Summary:As a Plumbing Purchasing Agent, your role is to work closely with distributors to purchase various plumbing parts, materials, and equipment necessary to complete projects. You will be responsible for ordering materials based on the Purchase Order and following the My Plumber Plus guidelines.What can they do for you?

  • Prepare and place orders for various Plumbing parts and equipment as specified in Purchase Orders in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintain good and positive working relationships with distributors, suppliers, and internal departments.
  • Research and evaluate products and distributors according to crucial business criteria (quality, specifications, price, availability, etc.) and reviewing each Purchase Order for accuracy of technical specifications
  • Assist in project estimates, cost analysis, purchases, and job cost completion.
  • Negotiate pricing with all vendors and ensuring product pricing/invoicing consistency
  • Inventory monitoring/Forecasting and maintaining the accuracy of materials ordered and received
  • Review monthly vendor statements for accuracy before processing
  • Communicate with vendors and industry business partnersRequirements of our next Plumbing Purchasing Agent:
    • Three or more years of purchasing experience for a plumbing company
    • Inventory monitoring/Forecasting experience
