Job Description:

Well established manufacturing plant located on the beautiful Eastern Shore, Maryland, is hiring for a Regional Sales Manager. JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for closing orders, bookings, promoting, marketing and building relationships within the territory to meet corporate budget and goals. RESPONSIBILITIES: -- Meets or exceeds sales bookings quota for the assigned geographic territory. -- Accountable for regional performance, hunter, closer, takes ownership. Provides aggressive sales leadership to increase the company---s market share, revenues and profitability for current and future business. Meets with Key Customer Accounts in the assigned geographic territory on a regular basis. Works with customer and internal engineering groups to design in solutions. Obtains, evaluates and assesses market research data to establish a comprehensive understanding of unique markets, competitive conditions, customer preferences and future trends. Helps establish a competitive strategy including sales forecasting, product positioning, new product application and sales support. Establishes and maintains an effective system of communication throughout the company relating to customer requirements and concerns. Provides timely sales activity reports and customer feedback to management. Review monthly budget plans and corresponding results. Provides monthly sales forecast updates by account as required by management. Participate in the development of department processes. Understanding of ITAR compliance Becomes a resource to engineering and management to acquire new business Develop Annual (Territory) Sales Plan Provide pricing information by customer to win business Facilitate communications between the company and the customer Promote & market products and capabilities to further sales, via trade shows, customer presentations Identify and establish customer relationships Develop appropriate leads, follow-up quotations, increase account penetration Communicate to management and engineering the desires of each customer (VOC) Present market information for the US and individual customers Other duties as assigned. Scheduling customer visits by plant engineering and management. Develop new business opportunities/new markets. Travel as required to secure current and new business. (50-75%) Job Requirements:

  • QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or ability required. An undergraduate degree with 10 years technical electronics/fiber optics manufacturing Sales experience. Ability to Travel frequently (USA/Canada) Ability to read basic drawings Excellent Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills High level of attention to detail Ability to work independently and to work with all levels of management Excellent written and verbal skills. Understanding of Products and Capabilities --- Hermetic Packaging Solutions, HTCC, Thermal Management, Microelectronic/Optical components US Citizenship is required. -- Job Type: Full-time Salary: From $80,000 per year plus incentives/bonus.
