Job Description:
Overview Support the Enterprise Data Governance (EDG) Office in
the development of information lifecycle management requirements,
guidelines, and best practices for effectively managing enterprise
data across the end-to-end data lifecycle. An Enterprise Data
Governance Analyst is responsible for the documentation of data
lineage by providing insights into data movement and ensuring
compliance with data management policies. Analyze and document data
flows withing an organization from source to destination,
identifying transformations, and dependencies. This role involves
tracking data from its origin to its destination, ensuring
accuracy, consistency, and compliance with industry standards. Work
under minimal supervision and use complete understanding of
business needs and objectives to support projects that have impact
on the achievement of organizational goals. Advanced skill set and
proficiency with procedures and analysis techniques are required.
Responsibilities
- Develop guidelines and best practices in collaboration with EDG
office workstreams for effectively managing enterprise data across
the end-to-end data lifecycle.
- Analyze, document and maintain data flow information across
systems.
- Collaborate with business data stewards, technical data
stewards, data architects, data engineers, and data analysts to
gather and prioritize data requirements.
- Monitor and ensure accuracy and consistency in metadata across
data integration processes.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to data integrity and
quality issues.
- Conduct regular audits and validations for data lineage
accuracy.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data lineage
inconsistencies and metadata discrepancies.
- Evaluate data lineage tools and recommend enhancements or new
systems.
- Support ongoing improvements in data lineage methodologies and
processes.
- Keep abreast of industry best practices and updates in data
lineage and metadata management.
- Prepare reports and visual representations to effectively
communicate data lineage information to stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications
- Experience in data analysis, data engineering, enterprise data
lake design, data warehousing, master/reference data management,
data protection, and access controls at enterprise level, ideally
in financial services.
- Self-motivated, proactive, quick learner with ability to apply
new concepts.
- Ability to solve complex system/integration problems
innovatively.
- Knowledge of building data integration processes on platforms
like ServiceNow, Pega, SharePoint Online, Power Bi,
Salesforce.
- Proficiency in Python, R, Scala, SQL for data querying and
transformation.
- Familiarity with cloud computing technologies such as Apache
Spark, Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, Azure ML, Hadoop,
Microsoft Azure, Databricks, AWS, Google Cloud.
- Experience in data profiling, quality strategies, rules
execution, metadata, issue management, and monitoring.
- Clear and concise communication skills to articulate project
goals, progress, and challenges to stakeholders.Desired

- Understanding of legislative and regulatory compliance
guidelines, preferably in financial institutions.
- Familiarity with data governance industry best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to identify root
causes of issues and provide solutions.
- Good problem solving, collaboration, critical thinking, team
building, and presentation skills.
- Good verbal, interpersonal and written communication
skills.
- Advanced organizational, planning and time management
skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,
or related field, or the equivalent combination of education,
