OVERVIEW:
Perform skilled work in the troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of specialized and complex equipment, electrical control systems and low voltage. Provide subject matter expertise and perform the following scope: Operations, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting on all power systems.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Requires a minimum of 4 years of experience in maintenance, construction, repair and servicing of complex industrial and manufacturing power distribution systems, wiring systems, and motor starters and controls.
  • Working knowledge of AC Live Line Work Minimum Approach Distance
  • Experience using electrical test equipment. Experience troubleshooting electrical circuits.
  • Trained in grounding and bonding of medium voltage systems and equipment.
  • Test Procedures and Requirements for AC cable terminations.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications, including Word and Excel and CMMS Programs. CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:
    • Must possess and maintain at least an LME License.
    • Thermography certification is a plus, but not required.
    • Must be able to obtain cleanroom certification and have ability to work inside a cleanroom environment. KNOWLEDGE:
      • Electrical theory to troubleshoot and repair electrical controls and electrical power distribution systems.
      • Complex procedures pertinent to equipment and power distribution and wiring repair.
      • Math, including basic algebra, as it relates to 3 phase power systems troubleshooting and repair.
      • Test equipment and procedures used in maintenance of process equipment and power distribution systems equipment. NOTE:
        • The voltage and potential fault energy levels of MV wiring systems pose significant safety hazards. In addition to electric shock and arc-flash burn hazards, blunt force and projectile injuries are also possible due to arc-blast hazard. Personnel must always be trained to recognize the particular hazards associated with the specific class of system voltage they will be working with and understand how to mitigate those hazards through safe work practices. ABILITIES :
          • Effectively detect and repair defects in the operation of plant electrical equipment and power distribution system equipment in a manner consistent with safety principles and the National Electric Code.
          • Utilize and maintain tools and test equipment used in the electrical trades. Follow oral and written instructions.
          • Communicate effectively and courteously with associates and the clients.
          • Read and understand technical manuals, electrical code, manufacture guidelines, shop drawings, etc.
          • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
          • Present an overall professional image.
          • Prepare clear and comprehensive reports.
          • Perform effectively as a member of the team.
          • Perform all work safely and in strict adherence to policies and procedures.
          • Must be able to work successfully in critical environments, possess attention to detail, and be able to read and follow technical procedures. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND CONDITIONS:
            • Must be able to: Hold and grip objects. Bend, squat, kneel, climb, crawl, and reach overhead. Work in awkward positions. Twist and turn torso. Push and pull up to 50 pounds. Distinguish primary colors. Subject to periods of prolonged standing. Perform work on ladders, lifts, and scaffolding, including on roofs. HOURS:
              • Day shift beginning 7am to 3pm.
              • Must be able to occasionally provide "On-Call" coverage and after hours support. Location:
