HOW A GEOSPATIAL ANALYST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT General Description

• Utilizes Geographic Information System techniques to provide a better understanding of certain variables in a given geographic location.
• Solid understanding of GIS theory and applications.
• Extracts data from GIS software and uses varying analysis methods to arrive at results.
• Recommends appropriate reactionary strategies in response to GIS analysis.
• Provides maps and data sets to clients to supplement analysis.
• Knowledgeable of GIS software and technology.
• Provides database development support in creating cartographic and digital data products.
• Expertise in performing data conversion migration, and translation activities utilizing advanced processing techniques.
• Design and implement efficient production tools and coordinate workflow with project personnel.
• Ensure quality, accuracy and currency of geospatial information produced.
• Performs finishing or remote sensing data, producing and maintaining cartographic databases, updating cartographic data from intelligence databases and producing mission specific data sets.
  WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Specific Descriptions or Requirement
  • Technical proficiency and understanding of GIS Enterprise concepts ; demonstrated technical competence in data acquisition, cleaning, and data management.
  • Able to support testing and evaluation of geospatial software, user interfaces, data streaming and ingest capabilities, and support functional testing of analytics and techniques to improve workflows.
  • Conceptual knowledge of the use of machine learning and associated algorithms, as well as, high motivation to learn and understand the capabilities deep learning and associated neural networks in support of geospatial operations.
  • Will support hardware and software integration activities as needed.
  • Will support the program management office to oversee and be responsible for specific tasks as required and to support cross-project activities to ensure the integrity of a collaborative environment between programs and their efforts. Master's Degree or equivalent and 10+ years of general related experience Location: Hybrid US Citizenship Required TS SCI Clearance Accesses preferred.
