          Duties
          • You will collaborate with management for the development of program guidance and requirements for development, test and evaluation, procurement and in- service operations of supported aircraft programs
          • You will translate program guidance into policy direction and assistance to the program office staff and program leaders and members.
          • You will collaborate with program managers to formulate short-term and long-range program plans.
          • You will ensure program milestones are established and provide adequate time and resources for implementation by contractors, filed activities and participating government agencies.
          • You will coordinate planning interfaces on a regular basis with officials within the program office and the competencies.
          • You will serve as a liaison between the program office, contractors, suppliers and participating activities on all matters related to program planning. Help

            • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

            • Per E.O. 14043, selectee(s) must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by 11/22/2021 or date of employment (which ever comes later) except in limited circumstances where an exception is approved due to a disability or sincerely held religious beliefs.
            • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field Program Management Level II. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
            • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
            • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. Qualifications

              Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience: 1) Utilizing a wide range of technical and business systems, processes, and practices used to manage weapon systems acquisition; 2) Reviewing, analyzing, and implementing higher level procurement policies; 3) Managing project/program requirements, objectives and metrics, and resolving conflicts among schedules, funding, and resources; 4) Identifying opportunities to incorporate process improvements and best practices utilizing customer feedback, internal and external audits, self-assessment, and lessons learned activities; 5) Advising management and colleagues on difficult problems, conducting special studies, proposing options and alternatives, and representing a command.
