That's why we need you, an engineer who knows how hardware and software components fit together and integrate with cloud-based resources, to help us lead our client's IT modernization.As a cloud engineer on our team, you'll design and implement modern, scalable, secure, and resilient systems that support both the business mission area and soldiers in the field. You'll recommend tools and capabilities based on your research of the current environment and knowledge of various on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid resources.You'll work with customers, solution architects, software developers, and infrastructure engineers to inform strategy and architecture design. This is an opportunity to stay on top of the latest cloud resources as you lead efforts to prototype using multiple techniques and new technologies. You'll be able to broaden your skillset into areas like DevSecOps, Containerization, GovCloud, Cybersecurity, and more. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS3+ years of experience with Cloud environments on Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure in aprofessional environmentExperience with designing, implementing, or supporting applications using architectural expertise to ensure or optimize availability, reliability, or performanceExperience with web application server technologies, cloud application design, software architecture and practices, including design/development/deployment, Agile, Scrum, or ALMExperience with infrastructure management and support and system administration in Windows and UNIXenvironmentsExperience with one or more of the following programming languages: C++, C#, Java, Node.js, JSON, PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby on Rails, or Pig/HiveExperience with scalable architectures, including serverless technologies, container orchestration including Kubernetes, Docker, or Cloud Foundry, API management, or microservice frameworksExperience with cloud application development solutions including PaaS, Serverless, or API ManagementAbility to manage, maintain, and enhance servers across multiple platformsDESIRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes, in a production environment Experience with Container-as-a-Service (CaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) cloud computing services, using Red Hat OpenShift, Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), Docker EE, Mesosphere, IBM Bluemix, or similar technologyExperience with CI/CD and DevOps pipeline automation tools (ex: Jenkins, Git, Artifactory)Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools, including Ansible, Puppet, and ChefExperience with migrating, architecting, building, and deploying systems and applications to a CloudExperience with implementing security controls on Linux or Windows based systemsExperience with using scripting languages to automate tasks and manipulate dataExperience with architecting a Splunk IT operations and modeling platformKnowledge of enterprise logging, including application, OS, and security technology loggingKnowledge of DoD Cloud Accreditation process or working through challenging security requirements andmaintaining complianceBA or BS degreeSecurity+ or 8570 CertificationCLEARANCESecret Clearance
