Due to our talented workforce, we have maintained a reputation for excellence, helping to assure the missions of our Department of Defense, Public Sector, Fortune 1000, and other Government and commercial customers.Who We Are Looking ForThe Junior IA Analyst will provide information assurance to Department of Defense (DoD) networks and communication systems.The analyst will support all operating systems vulnerability detection, provision of resources, and maintenance of OS patches and releases for platform applications, application servers, and databases. The analyst will conduct and assist with the performance of security risk assessments of systems and equipment using DISA security technical implementation guidance (STIG), perform monthly vulnerability assessments using automated scanning tools, and assist with the completion of technical scans on servers, applications and appliances. The analyst will create technical documentation, network diagrams, inventory control documentation, security documentation, and RMF artifacts to support the accreditation process for new technology or service initiatives.Responsibilities* Monitor HEAT ticketing system* Vulnerability scanning and remediation* ACAS administration duties including but not limited to* Run required ACAS reports* Vulnerability report generation and mitigation coordination* Assist with Windows Server STIG/SCAP artifacts for accreditation efforts* Updates/upgrades for ACAS products (Security Center, Nessus, etc.)* Scheduling/Monitoring of active and passive scans* SCAP benchmark updates* Failed scans tracking and troubleshootingRequired Skills And Experience* Clearance Required: DoD Secret Security Clearance* Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2012, 2016, or 2019* Knowledge of Tenable/ACAS* Knowledge of DoD Information Assurance practices, including Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG)* Must be able to interact with peers, management, and senior engineers in a constantly evolving environment to ensure a positive customer experience and atmosphere in the workplace* 1-3 years of IT Support experience.* Experience with VMware, Windows 10, Windows 2012, 2016* Experience with Vulnerability assessment and remediation* Experience with ACAS Security Center* Experience in DoD Information Assurance/Cyber policy and procedures to include hardening of systems, implementing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and scanning* DoD 8570 compliant (IAT Level 2)* Experience with Tenable Nessus Scanner* Experience with SCAP and STIG's* Experience with Nessus Network MonitorDesired Experience* Experience with Unix Operating Systems is a plus* Knowledge of NIST guidelines and RMF knowledge is desiredSmartronix is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
