We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our healthcare team as a Lead Mammography Technologist. In each of our regions, we are the best in radiology, offering all radiology services!Essential Functions of a Lead Mammo TechAs a Lead Mammography Technologist, you will play a crucial role in the detection and diagnosis of breast diseases. Operating specialized equipment, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and maintaining accurate records will be key components of your responsibilities. Additionally, you'll assist with Dexa scans, burning discs, uploading images, and supporting PACS data entry. Furthermore, you will travel occasionally to cover other sites and conduct evaluations for client success.Perform mammography examinations adhering to established protocols.Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.Operate equipment to obtain high-quality images.Collaborate with healthcare professionals to review images for accuracy.Provide clear instructions to patients and maintain accurate records.Adhere to safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure.Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on equipment.Stay updated on advancements in mammography technology.Conduct Dexa examinations as requested.Assist with burning discs, uploading images, and PACS data entry.Travel occasionally to cover other sites.Conduct site visits and evaluations to ensure client success.Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.Requirements:Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.Certification by ARRT in Mammography.State licensure or certification as required.Proficiency in operating mammography equipment.Strong knowledge of breast imaging anatomy, physiology, and pathology.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment.Attention to detail and commitment to patient care and safety.Willingness to participate in ongoing education and training.Compassion, empathy, and professionalism.Preferred Qualifications:Experience as a Mammography Technologist.Familiarity with PACS systems.Knowledge of regulatory requirements for mammography services.Knowledge of MQSA and ACR requirements and experience with inspections.What We OfferPay DOEImmediately accrue PTO as you work!
