DescriptionQuantum PhysicistSUMMARY DESCRIPTION: Experience with
hands on research related todevelopment of quantum memories,
networks and atom-based sensors. Positionrequires design and
development of laboratory demonstration experiments. Developdata
collection components for experiments along with post data
analysis.QUALIFICATIONS: MS/Ph.D. in Physics or equivalent and 5+
years of experience.Knowledge in several of these key areas is
preferred: Provides client with expertise in experimental atomic
and optical physics for thedevelopment of atom-based sensors,
clocks, quantum memories, and quantumnetworking technologies. Uses
knowledge of atomic and optical physics to perform design,
analysis, andtheoretical modeling of technologies and experiments
based on atom-lightinteractions. Works with client to build
laboratory experiment and demonstration apparatus,including laser
system alignment, ultra-high-vacuum system build, magnetic
fieldcontrol, and atomic state detection. Develops, improves, and
operates experimental control and data acquisitionsystems.
Optimizes laboratory experiment and demonstration performance,
includingsignal-to-noise ratio, repetition rate, and stability.
Uses software data analysis and plotting tools to analyze and
presentexperimental data. Conducts background scientific literature
research to provide analytical supportand recommendations to
improve experimental design and procedures. Participates as a
consultant, advisor, or member in various planning and
workinggroupsPosition supports a US Government contract. U. S.
citizenship required andability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance.
Existing DOD Secret Clearancepreferred.Job Type: Full-timePay:
$100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year depending on
