We are currently seeking skilled and motivated candidates for Senior Systems Engineer Lead. This position is located on-site at Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) in Dahlgren, VA for the Combined Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD)/Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Trainer, known as CIAT.

Job DescriptionThe Senior Systems Engineer Lead will be part of a team of experts charged with providing systems operation expertise to the NSWCDD Integrated Combat Systems Department (V) to plan and execute systems engineering activities in support of current and future Combat System Command and Control (C2) functions.
As the Senior Systems Engineer Lead, you will be one of seven Product Area Leads in the CIAT Team Structure. You will need to understand all new requirements, lead all scenarios, and lead requirements working group efforts within the user community. You will also conduct meetings to ensure engineering efforts are on track.
In addition to the above duties, you will:

• 
  
• Manage the Test Observation Reports (TORs) that have been generated against CIAT, including managing the backlog of TORs.
  
• Provide evaluation on-site, in the lab, alongside Software Developers, Testers, and Integrators.
  
• Work closely with third party vendors, stakeholders, and sponsors through daily duties such as Working Group Meetings.
  
• Be located on-site in an air gapped facility at NSWC Dahlgren.
  
  Position Requirements/Skills
  
  • 
    
  • Eight plus (8+) years of experience in Systems Engineering, Integration of Combat Systems, Testing, and similar. Two (2) years' experience may be supplemented with a Master's degree in Systems Engineering, or related technical field.
    
  • This position requires U.S. Citizenship and an Active or Interim Department of Defense SECRET clearance.
    
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering or related technical field.
    
  • Candidate must understand system lifecycle stages and the latest systems engineering standards from INCOSE.
    
  • Proficiency with preparing and reviewing technical documentation including but not limited to System Requirements Specifications, Capability Requirement Documents, Capability Production Documents, System Engineering Plans, System Requirements Documents, System Design Documents, Interface Design Documents and Specifications.
    
  • Ability to advise and provide technical leadership to multiple requirements working groups that include government and contractor personnel.
    
  • Ability to work in an air-gapped environment on classified software products.
    
  • Ability to communicate effectively within a large, dynamic team environment.
    
  • Ability to work directly with a variety of program stakeholders including sponsors, end-users, and contractors.
    
  • Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification.
    
  • Knowledge of AEGIS Tactical System (in specific CIAT), desired but not required.
    
  • Experience with Systems Engineering in an Agile development environment, desired but not required.
