Job Description:

Work, is looking for a mid-level Linux System Administratorto join
our team! The Linux System Administrator will provide on-premise
system administration, monitoring, patching, upgrades, and
troubleshooting. The System Administrator will also be expected to
assist senior level technicians diagnose and address technical
system and user issues for a development environment supporting a
U.S. Navy customer. Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux
operating systems
- Perform analysis and resolve hardware and software problems
associated with Linux operating systems and applications
- Perform monitoring of Network and Linux systems performance and
ensure compliance with security standards
- Assist senior level technicians in their activities when
necessary
- Support DEVOPS integrated project team
- Perform daily Anti-Virus updates
- Perform Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
scans
- Perform log analysis to determine common issues and security
events
- Perform updates of Linux RHEL environments
- Perform troubleshooting for complex system issues, deployment
issues, and development team issues
- Perform user/account management leveraging RHEL Identify
Management (IDM) or Lightweight Directory Access Protocol
(LDAP)
- Developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and other
process documentation
- Perform hardware maintenance on devices to include laptops,
desktops, servers, routers and switches
- Troubleshoot and configure network components to include
multi-vendor switches, routers, and Firewall appliances Required
Skills & Experience:
- Active Security+ certification
- 3 - 5 years of experience with Linux Administrator
- Knowledge and experience with VMware vSphere and vCenter
- Experience administering ACAS such as perform scans, update
plugins, and user management Additional Requirements:
- Due to the requirements in the Safer Federal Workforce
Taskforce guidance and the nature of our covered contracts and

Preferred Skills & Experience:
- CySA+, CASP, or CISSP certification
- Linux operating system certifications
- Experience configuring, administering and using Docker
containers
- Experience using Ansible for automation of tasks
Education:Technical degree preferred (but not required) Minimum
