PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The Senior Cyber Systems Engineer shall be responsible for all aspects of the development, implementation, and integration of cyber warfare applications
• Ability to take projects from original concept through final implementation
• Develop detailed work plans, schedules, and status reports
• Develop and execute technology maturation strategies on behalf of the government customer to support project performance across a range of technology development initiatives
• Perform reverse engineering, kernel development, and vulnerability research on networking and communications systems
• The Senior Cyber Systems Engineer shall participate in meetings across multiple time zones with a variety of stakeholders and provide technical and analytical guidance to project teams
• Prepare technical international documentation on behalf of the government customer to enable development of cyber warfare applications
• Maintain knowledge and awareness all other complimentary and competitive technology maturation initiatives across the Department of Defense
• Prepare papers, presentations, reports, and administrative packages on cyber system development issues in response to direction from TRMC leadership MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience in cyber systems
  • Experience working with design and development of system architectures, cost/capability trades, and performance analysis and simulation
  • Proven software programming experience in C/C++
  • Experience with a debugging or analysis tool (e.g. Wireshark)
  • Excellent verbal, written communications, interpersonal, and reading skills along with a professional appearance and countenance
  • Comfortable interacting with high level individuals and functions well independently and in a fast paced, high pressure team environment
  • Active Secret Clearance and eligible for Top Secret and SCI accesses
  • Proficient in Microsoft Professional Office Suite in a Windows environment
  • Willingness to travel internationally for 20% of the year separated into full-time, 1-week activities
  • Ability to work and interact across the Military Departments and multiple offices of the Secretary of Defense as well as Industry, FFRDC's, UARC's, and private citizens at a technical level DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
    • Experience in embedded, network applications, command and control, or web application software development
    • Familiarity with DOD communications (e.g. tactical radio systems and waveforms, MILSATCOM, shipboard radar, GPS) and commercial communications (e.g. 5G, LTE, SATCOM, WLAN), advanced radio systems concepts (software defined radio, cognitive radio, dynamic spectrum access)
    • Comfortable designing and developing applications for multiple operating systems
    • Experience with the Atlassian toolset, Kubernetes, and automated continuous integration and development pipelines
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other technical field
    • Comfortable working a variety of disparate issues in a fluid environment simultaneously
