Appliance Repair Assistant I

PURPOSE AND DESCRIPTION

As we expand our *** Appliance+ program, we re looking for team members who want to grow within the skilled-trades career field to help provide hassle-free support. This role will be responsible for assisting the Appliance Repair Technicians on any repairs that require additional support as well as supporting inventory parts repair as needed across the appliance repair market. This additional support may include but is not limited to bringing parts for a repair to a customer s home, lifting televisions, assisting in moving heavy appliances, transporting tools and/or materials, and training as required with potential to move into Appliance Repair Technician roles as available. Appliance Repair Assistants may also be required to support and discuss *** products like Home+ and Appliance+. The ideal candidate for this role will be able to stand, lift, push/pull heavy loads and travel up to 60 miles (one way) per day, up to 120 miles round trip per job. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who is looking to learn new skills and position themselves for potential advancement in the Major Appliance Repair Industry.

What you will do
" Assist Repair Technicians or any other employees within the Appliance Repair Network that need support with lifting or working on repairs
" Handle and transport parts, tools, and/or materials from different locations to and from customers homes or businesses
" Strong time management
" Diligently and safely follow instructions from supervisors and/or technicians to assist completing repairs
" Participate in training with potential to move into Appliance Repair Technician roles as available if qualified
" Support, discuss, and offer *** products
" Maintain vehicle cleanliness, maintenance, and tool inventory within the prescribed company guidelines and standards
" Responsible for proper handling and disposition of all parts and tools assigned to you
" Proper use of all personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to cut resistant gloves, as well as equipment utilized to protect customer property from damage
" Follow all traffic laws while driving company vehicle; safely and responsibly navigate to and from customer locations in a variety of situations including heavy traffic and inclement weather; report accidents and/or injuries following all *** guidelines in a timely manner
" Accurately track working hours, including lunch breaks
" Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
" Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
" Ability to lift heavy loads of up to 60-70 pounds
" Driving, standing, kneeling, or sitting, for periods greater than 2 hours
" Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
" Specific vision abilities that may be required by this job including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
" Vocal communications are required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word and/or to communicate with customers and/or clients.
" Exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, chemicals, and such matters as asks for overtime or shift work. Exposure to various materials including cardboard, various metals, and plastics. Exposure to instruments or material with sharp edges which may involve the risk of injury
" Comfortable with exposure to dogs, cats and other pets that may be present in the customers homes
" End time may fluctuate from day to day based on timeframe of last job; Schedule is subject to change based on business needs
