Job Description:
Xator is looking for an amazingly talented -CUAS IT
Administrator to join our team! In this role you will complete
ownership of all computing infrastructure, including servers,
storage, network, software, license configuration, workstations,
Post Deployment Software Support (PDSS) engineering, and technical
services.Clearance Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of a SECRET clearance, or the ability to
obtain one.What You'll Be Doing:
- Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable
operation of computer systems, network servers, and
virtualization.
- Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement
changes.
- Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage
virtual servers, and integrate automation processes.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running
diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing
problems, and assessing the impact of issues.
- Maintains technical expertise in all network and computer
hardware and software interconnection and interfacing areas, such
as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways,
etc.
- Provide detailed information for hardware and software
selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most
efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and
future capacity requirements.
- Ability to analyze computer and network architectures to
optimize performance, security, and laboratory testing.
- Provide documentation and technical specifications to C-UAS
staff to plan and implement upgrades to C-UAS.
- Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement
appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and
failover procedures.
- Oversee desktop and helpdesk support efforts provided by
vendors, making sure all C-UAS applications, workstations, and
related equipment problems are resolved promptly with limited
disruptions.
- Develop and maintain a software configuration tracker that
considers new releases operating systems, application updates, and
application program interfaces.
- Represent the C-UAS program in intra-department meetings,
working groups, and industry related to software configurations and
cyber securities.
- Ensure the C-UAS program complies with the client's standards
and practices regarding system administration.What Required Skills
You'll Bring:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in
Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or
a closely related field. Additional years of experience mixed with
professional certifications may be considered in lieu of a
degree.
- -3-5 years of database, network administration, or system
administration experience
- 1-3 years of utilizing system administration and IT
certifications in application to a system administration role.
- Knowledge of experience with Local Area Network (LAN), Wide
Area Network (WAN), and Virtual Private Network (VPN).
- Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP,
BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
- Basic understanding of one or more scripting languages.
(BASH/PYTHON preferred)
- Understanding of performing analysis of general cyber-related
technical problems and finding computer system security solutions
for these problems or risks.
- Ability to construct networking cables and splice fiber optic
cables.
- Proven experience independently researching and presenting
solutions for complicated problems.
- Working knowledge of user interfaces, web-based user
interfaces, or equivalent.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools.
- A proven track record of developing and implementing IT
strategies and plans.
- Strong knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and
disaster recovery protocols. -What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Red Hat System Administrator Certification
- CompTIA Server+ Certification
- CompTIA Security+ Certification or equivalent security
certification.
- At least Interim Secret clearance is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills Candidate
must have the ability to work in a team-oriented setting or
independently as required to achieve goals and objectives in a
fast-paced schedule-driven environment. -On September 24, 2021, the
