engagement. SUMMARY The Specialist, Workplace Innovation for
SHRMLabs, SHRM's workplace innovation laboratory and venture
capital arm, manages and implements a broad portfolio of
development programs to meet SHRM's organizational needs. The
Specialist assists in helping establish SHRM as a workplace
technology thought leader and product testbed for technologies
impacting the future of work and the workplace. The Specialist
makes recommendations for new products or services that elevate the
practice of HR through the use of technology and may manage product
development projects as necessary. Responsibilities: Program
Management
- Support SHRMLabs overall strategy to enhance its value
proposition to the startup, venture capital and the greater SHRM
member communities.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams and assigned project
manager to support end-to end lifecycle programs like The Better
Workplaces Challenge Cup (Startup Track) annual pitch
competition.
- Communicate with various internal and external stakeholders as
needed to ensure program goals are met while identifying and
solving for potential roadblocks.
- Foster vendor relationships and forecast potential schedule
delays and develops alternate plans.
- Emphasize and analyze the use of data and stakeholder feedback
to optimize programs
- Be willing to jump in and assist the implementation of other
programs like the Workplaces Accelerator and the WorkplaceTech
Community where help is needed.
- Liaise with various teams and vendors to make our international
and domestic conferences and events successful.
- Under moderate guidance, manage a broad portfolio of service
initiatives for startup companies in the HR tech space, including
company on-boarding, SHRM's portfolio community and vendor
platforms, and portfolio-focused events and content distribution.
Engagement
- Leverages the organization's staff, members and network to
provide support for SHRMLabs by featuring topic experts and
providing a layer of diligence to fuel growth and success.
- Forges relationships with internal/external stakeholders and
potential partners.
- Collaborates with other SHRM divisions to align the SHRMLabs'
communications strategy with organizational strategy.
- Crafts communications for use with senior-level and executive
leadership, corporate partners, and clients.
- Develops stories and visual elements to conceptualize and
communicate ideas to stakeholders and potential customers or
partners.
- Executes branding and engagement activities at SHRM and
external events.
- Performs other related duties as assigned. Education &
Experience Requirements Education
- Bachelor's degree in project management, business, or
equivalent relevant work experience/training Experience Required
- At least three (3) years of relevant work experience managing
projects and/or programs.
- Experience building and managing partnerships with key
stakeholders and manage and maintain relationships.
- Strong ability to relate data analysis to bottom line business
results is a must.
- Experience in digital media, online marketing techniques,
databases, and list management.
- Experience in reporting and analysis using Google Analytics.
Preferred
- Familiarity or interest with HR technologies and future of
work
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience using collaboration software systems like Notion, MS
SharePoint, etc
- Entrepreneurial spirit, and/or startup or accelerator
experience.
- Knowledge about or exposure to venture capital
- Ability to assess business potential of workplace tech
startups.
- Work or living experience abroad. CertificationsKnowledge,
Skills & Abilities Required
- Naturally inquisitive with a voracious appetite for learning
and a boundless intellectual capacity for solving complicated
problems.
- Knowledge of innovation strategy and technologies.
- Excellent oral communication, writing, and presentation
skills.
- Familiarity in online marketing techniques, databases, and list
management.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time
management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and leadership skills.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful
environment. Preferred
- Fluency in 2 or more languages.
- Familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce, Tableau, etc., and
design tools like Canva, Creatopy and Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Experience with WordPress, and SEO Additional Notes Physical
