Summary About the Position: This is a permanent position with
Humphreys Engineer Center Support Activity (HECSA), Security
Office. For more information on HECSA, visit:
http://www.usace.army.mil/HECSA.aspx. Responsibilities Serve as the
organizational Antiterrorism Officer to advise on, develop, and
perform on antiterrorism functions. Manage organizational
antiterrorism program to enhance overall program efficiency and
effectiveness within the organizational structure and operational
capabilities. Synchronize antiterrorism tasks with other elements
of protection related topics such as Physical Security, Law
Enforcement Operations, Army Emergency Management, Operations
Security, and other security programs to ensure protection mission
success. Execute organizational training and exercise program
regarding antiterrorism to maintain staff knowledge and actions in
support of antiterrorism program initiatives. Perform risk
assessments to mitigate, identify, and correct threats and

the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to
paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through

is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of
specialized experience which includes evaluating organizational
antiterrorism procedures to determine security deficiencies;
establish and maintain a cooperative relationship with military and
civilian Antiterrorism and Emergency Management planners to remain
abreast of threats and best security practices; assisting in
planning, training, exercising, evaluating, and executing
organizational security program plans. This definition of
specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next
lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some
federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the
required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must
meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no
substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be
evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following
areas: Communications and Media Risk Management Security Program
Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a
General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have
52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent
(GS-11). Education Additional Information Male applicants born
after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment
Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You
will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year
trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is
