**Proof of COVID-19 vaccine is required for employment at Spectra Credit Union** RoleResponsible for servicing the mortgage loan portfolio. Maintains accurate records on all loan escrow accounts. Ensures that insurance coverage is maintained on all mortgage loans.Major Duties and Responsibilities30% - Maintain escrow accounts for the payment of members' property tax, hazard, and private mortgage insurance premiums. Ensure that insurance coverage is maintained on all mortgage loans and follow up on cancellations. Resolve member problems; make corrections and refunds, re-build member mortgage loan accounts when necessary. Ensure loan payoffs are processed within 24 hours of receipt. Review and adjust monthly ARM rates and payment changes and notify members of changes.30% - Prepare monthly reconciliation of serviced loans and transmit to Fannie Mae. Prepare and deliver committed loans before expiration of commitment. Daily remittance on sold loans is verified and submitted daily.25% - Review monthly HMDA entries and transmit information annually. Assist and review annual 1098 tax documentation. Prepare monthly escrow analysis as well annual escrow statements. Review private mortgage insurance on all loans and remove when necessary. Process mortgage satisfactions, insurance claims, post escrow refunds when necessary.10% - Assist employees with problems or questions regarding the servicing function. Provide members with information and answer questions regarding their accounts and other services offered by the Credit Union. Provide members with information regarding Credit Union policies and procedures.5% - Other duties assigned. ?Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.Knowledge and SkillsExperience - Two to Five years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.Education - A two-year college degree or completion of equivalent seminars and/or workshops in the Credit Union and Mortgage industries. Accounting experience preferred. Other Skills - Knowledge of member services/loan policies and procedures. Extensive knowledge of mortgage and home equity programs. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to use a personal computer and knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing applications. Excellent organizational skills, with an emphasis on detail and accuracy. Decision making and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to provide courteous and professional service. Knowledge of Fannie Mae underwriting, delivery, and servicing guidelines. Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently within the limits of policy and authority.ADA RequirementsPhysical Requirements - Is able to bend, sit, and stand in order to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine oice equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Working Conditions - Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled private office with minimal noise. Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.Mental and/or Emotional Requirements - Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to complete basic mathematical calculations, spell accurately, and understand computer basics. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
