Preferred Certification(s): IAT II certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+CE, or SSCP) **Selected applicants may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. ** SUMMARY: Agile Defense is seeking a full-time Network Specialist to provide Quality Assurance support to the Client's Deployed Support Section. The Deployed Support Section is responsible for reviewing and validating tactical network packages and ensuring they are in compliance with Government Enterprise Network (GEN) standards and providing technical support to deployed units. The candidate will leverage the GEN architecture, systems, and RMF process in order to conduct QA support. DUTIES:

  • Review the configuration of all Client managed GEN equipment.
  • Check configurations for validity, accuracy, and completeness utilizing approved configuration change sources such as trouble tickets, Requests for Modification (RFM) and change requests.
  • Check configurations for non-approved variances from the standard or baseline configuration of the device type. All discrepancies (as defined by Client procedures and policies) discovered shall be documented in a Configuration Discrepancy Report, and investigated.
  • Coordinate troubleshooting efforts between Deployed Support, the customer, and other Sections as necessary.
  • Maintain records of all active and future deployed networks.
  • Provide direct computer/network support to include router, firewall, IDS/IPS, DNS, Active Directory / Exchange, configuration, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting to United States Marine Corps (USMC) deployed units.
  • Assist in the development and execution of Information Assurance (IA) training for deployed units.
  • Conduct weekly audits of deployed tactical units' boundary devices to ensure compliancy in accordance with policies and guidance from MARFORCYBER/HQMC C4.
  • Assist with Risk Management Framework (RMF) packages to include:
    • Assistance to Government personnel in the completion of packages for Client managed equipment, systems or circuits.
    • Ensure deployed networks are configured according to DISA STIGs and are using ports and services allowed by DISA.
    • Review packages submitted by deployable units for exercises and make recommendations to the Government C&A section. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS: BACKGROUND NEEDED AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
      • IAT II certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+CE, or SSCP)
      • 3 yrs of Network Administration
      • Experience with Visio and Excel preferred
      • Experience with Marine Corps deployed units preferred Additional Skills & Qualifications: Non-Technical Skills:

        • Ability to communicate in a clear speaking voice as well as the ability to respond clearly to questions

        • Ability to quickly acquire and retain information. WORKING CONDITIONS: Contractor site with 0%-10% travel possible. Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages. General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. Strength Demands: Sedentary - 10 lbs. Maximum lifting, occasional lift/carry of small articles. Some occasional walking or standing may be required. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met. Physical Requirements:
