The IT Specialist provides support for on/off-site staff and delivers staff training on all the Foundation's technology resources. They achieve IT operational objectives by maintaining current systems; evaluating, recommending, testing and installing new technologies; contributing information and specific recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; and implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.Responsibilities

  • Provide on-call helpdesk support for program staff during all program hours.
  • Provide helpdesk support to IT systems including, but not limited to monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client server, storage, network devices, and mobile devices.
  • Deliver staff training on the Foundation's technology resources.
  • Perform regular security monitoring to identify possible intrusions.
  • Maintain inventory and assist with purchase of new computers and/or equipment.
  • Upgrade IT systems and apply new patches as necessary.
  • Provide network and remote connectivity hardware/software support; maintain LAN user documentation; analyze and troubleshoot network logs and track the nature and resolution of problems.
  • Monitor server and network usage to ensure security of data and access privileges.
  • Perform scheduled network tasks, update anti-virus definition files, and provide internet and intranet user support, and specialized training.
  • Determine IT infrastructure requirements by analyzing needs/trends; prioritizes projects; develops and implements documentation requirements; follows process and change management controls and manages all aspects of problem resolution.Minimum Qualifications
    • At least one year experience providing phone, remote, and in-person helpdesk support at the enterprise level.
    • At least two years' experience with system administration, including hardware platforms, software applications and numerous interfaces included in the LAN and WAN.
    • Solid understanding of Windows Server OS and services, Microsoft Office applications, Office 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Dynamics 365, AD and ADFS services, G Suite, iOS and Android operating systems, PBX systems, fax servers, and virtualized and cloud infrastructures.
    • Working knowledge of CCNA, Security+, Network +, and A+ protocol and guidelines.
    • Demonstrated ability to install and troubleshoot wide array of peripherals on end user machines.Other Qualifications
      • Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
      • Willingness to learn additional applications and new technologies as needed.
      • Knowledge of various remote collaboration software such as MS Teams, Zoom, Webex, Google Meet, and Teamviewer.
      • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics GP, IBM Cognos TM1, Microsoft SQL Server and PowerShell scripting.
      • Ability to read code in different programming languages.
      • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and conflicting priorities.
      • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to adapt to new challenges quickly.
      • Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate internally with end-users of varying abilities, including vendors and service providers.
      • Bachelor degree in computer science, information technology or related field (preferred).Compensation and Benefits - The IT Specialist starting salary is between $70,000 to $80,000 per year.         Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentPhysical demands - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. The employee must lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work environment - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
