Job Description:

SimVentions, consistently voted one Virginia's Best Places to Work, is looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer to join our team developing web/cloud based applications for the Department of Defense (DoD).

Responsibilities: 

• Support all aspects of the system development lifecycle with an emphasis on Agile software development
• Design, develop, maintain and test full stack cloud application in coordination with DevSecOps software processes

Required Skills & Experience:

• 8+ years of software engineering, design, development, and testing experience
• Ability to thrive in a flexible team oriented work environment (both telework and in office)

Preferred Skills & Experience:  

• Web/cloud application development

• React, Redux, GraphDB, GraphQL, Docker, and AWS Cloud

• Javascript libraries: React, Mobx, Webpack, Typescript

• Databases: SQL Server, MySQL

• Test Driven Development

• DoD background/knowledge

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Machine Learning

• Familiarity with Git, Gitlab, Jira, CI/CD, DevOps tools

Education:  A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or related technical degree

Minimum Clearance:  Interim Secret
