You'll conceptualize and design new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle from analog and digital electronic circuit card assemblies to fully integrated systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide senior-level engineering expertise for system development, systems engineering, and configuration and process management of ground, air, space, and sea-based systems

  • Provide technical expertise in research, design, development, acquisition, and sustainment of electronic focused solutions to include innovative information technology, and intelligence collection, processing, and dissemination capabilities

  • Develop, update and review highly detailed engineering documentation such as Performance Specifications, Engineering Designs and Diagrams, System Engineering Plans, Technical Review Action Plans, and Interface Control Documents

  • Provide direct support to customer by identifying transformative capabilities, assessing those capabilities, and if deemed suitable, support the development and integration into applicable systems, both tactical and enterprise

  • Lead or participate in collaboration and coordination with vendors and stakeholders across multiple mission owners and organizations to encourage or support the timely delivery of capabilities that meet development, evaluation, and demonstration objectives

  • Provide subject matter expertise in acquisition engineering best practices and recommendations; mentor others as beneficial and when directed

  • Conduct in-depth analysis; develop courses of action, and present recommendations to leadership on solutions for difficult and challenging engineering deficiencies and problems

  • Support the execution of System Engineering Technical Review (SETR) and evaluation events through process definition and development, documentation preparation, review of criteria, and preparation of systems and corresponding briefing material

  • As directed, define, recommend, and support Configuration Management processes such as the Engineering Change Proposal process by reviewing proposals, advising the customer on their technical merit, and presenting to leadership for determination

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices

  • Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools

  • Progressive experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Family of Software and Tools such as Office, Visio, SharePoint, Project?

  • Ability to collaborate, communicate and interaction with Senior Government organizations and personnel; including Officer, Enlisted, and Civilian

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with experience developing and delivering briefings for senior and executive managers

  • Ability to work well independently and in a collaborative team environment

  • An active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance is required.  Learn more about the background check process for Security Clearances

 

Preferred:

  • Exposure to simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis

  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry

  • Experience composing and analyzing Electrical Load Analysis (ELA),  circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis

  • Familiarity with design requirements related to High Intensity Radiated Field (HIRF) and Indirect Effects of Lightning (IEL)

  • Knowledge of industry-standard electrical design principles, to include, but not limited to model-based definition, electrical component selection, manufacturing, and production processes

  • Familiar with Electro Magnetic Effects (EME) to include, Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI)

  • Experience in digital or analog circuit design and schematic capture

  • Understanding of the printed circuit board layout process and tools

This position requires current/active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment.
