Vectrus is looking for a seasoned lawyer to provide general
legal support to its business throughout the world. The job will be
based in Alexandria, Virginia. The primary responsibilities of this
position are to: contribute value as a member of the Legal
Department; provide effective legal advice, counsel and advocacy to
Vectrus' business and functional areas; support Vectrus strategic
and tactical legal and compliance initiatives; provide effective
advice on legal considerations of Vectrus' business strategies and
their implementation; and will report to the Vectrus Vice
President, Deputy General Counsel-Legal Operations. The person
chosen for this position will be required to provide daily advice
and counsel on issues involving government contracts, general
business, and domestic and international business transactions. The
successful candidate must have the ability to identify critical
legal issues and appropriately balance risk and business strategy.
The ideal candidate must be able to convert legal recommendations
to actionable advice for program and other personnel. He or she
must be able to develop relationships with and influence internal
and external stakeholders and will need to collaborate with peers
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
Active support of and advice on all types of government
contracts including bid and proposal advice, contract changes
(requests for equitable adjustments), compliance with Federal
Acquisition Regulations and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations
Supplement, government contract litigation protests and disputes,
teaming agreements, organizational conflict of interest issues,
Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs), and the creation and
implementation of firewall agreements and compliance matters, will
support other business matters including program execution and
performance. Will also support subcontract negotiations and support
our global supply chain personnel.
Performs other duties and assignments as required, including,
but not limited to implementing standards for effective legal and
contract strategy, conducting legal investigations relating to
government contracts, managing outside counsel, interpreting and
disseminating information on proposed or actual legislation and
regulations, with emphasis on government contract law and providing
legal training to business leaders and professionals on government

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certifications: One year
related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if

Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school.
