This growing manufacturer is doubling production capacity with a new facility opening soon, adding four production lines to their existing operation. The Opportunity As a Preventative Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift) , you'll execute scheduled maintenance programs that keep specialized bakery production equipment running at peak performance. Working 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM with occasional weekend coverage, you'll collaborate with production teams and senior technicians to prevent downtime through systematic maintenance activities. This role is perfect for mechanically-inclined professionals who want stable afternoon hours, hands-on work, and clear advancement opportunities. What You'll Do ? Execute preventative maintenance schedules on automated production equipment including conveyors, motors, bearings, pumps, and production machinery ? Perform mechanical repairs and component replacements to maintain continuous operation of high-speed bakery lines ? Conduct routine inspections using maintenance checklists to identify potential equipment issues before they cause failures ? Document maintenance activities including parts usage, equipment performance data, and completion of scheduled tasks ? Support basic electrical troubleshooting on motors, sensors, and control components under guidance of senior technicians ? Collaborate with production operators to schedule maintenance activities and minimize production impact ? Maintain safety compliance with GFSI, GMP (Good Manufacturing Processes), and HARPC standards in food manufacturing environment ? Assist with equipment installations and modifications as facility expands operations Required Qualifications ?? 2-5 years hands-on industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing environment (manufacturing facility experience required) ?? Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills with experience repairing conveyors, motors, pumps, bearings, and production equipment ?? Basic understanding of electrical systems including motors, sensors, and controls ?? Ability to read equipment manuals, diagrams, and maintenance schedules ?? Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong work ethic and reliability ?? Commitment to workplace safety and willingness to follow all safety protocols ?? Schedule flexibility for occasional weekend coverage (minimum 2 of 6 PM techs cover weekends) Preferred Qualifications ? Food or beverage manufacturing experience ? Forklift and scissor lift certification ? Basic awareness of PLC systems and automated equipment ? Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) ?
