As a Dedicated CDL A Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to our customers across the United States. Your role is crucial in maintaining the efficiency of our supply chain operations and ensuring that our dedication to customer satisfaction is met with every mile covered. Operate a tractor-trailer or truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). Plan routes and meet delivery schedules. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures. Manually or electronically maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance. Plan logistics and obtain necessary documentation to transport goods. Load, handle and transport materials and cargo securely to ensure no damage. Report defects, accidents, or violations. Proven work experience as a truck driver. Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc). Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations. Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc).
