Job Description:
System Freight, Inc. is seeking a dedicated CDL-A Local Driver
in Lancaster, PA to enhance our robust transportation team,
specializing in efficient, direct-to-store deliveries and
meticulous fleet management. As a crucial element of our logistics
framework, you will play a key role in maintaining the punctuality
and reliability that our clients in the Northeastern United States
have come to expect. This position offers the stability of working
with an established logistics organization known for respecting and
supporting our driving staff. Safely operate a tractor-trailer to
transport goods to various local destinations without overnight
hauls. Ensure compliance with company policies and federal, state,
and local regulations. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle
inspections to guarantee operational safety. Regularly update
transport logs and documentation with accuracy. Interact
professionally with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to
ensure seamless delivery operations. Adhere to planned routing, and
efficiently manage schedules and delivery timelines. Assist in
loading and unloading goods as necessary, ensuring secure transport
of materials. Strong driving skills with the ability to operate a
tractor-trailer proficiently. Familiarity with GPS devices and
efficient route planning Effective communication skills, both
verbal and written. Capable of performing physical activities,
including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
Excellent time management and ability to adhere to schedules.
Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Valid CDL-A
license. A clean driving record. Current DOT medical card.
