Position Description: CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Team Lead within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. The Team Lead role is a senior-level professional with expertise in software development, AI/ML systems, and application operations management. This position is located in our Arlington, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. Your future duties and responsibilities: Your future duties and responsibilities: 1. Technical Leadership & AI Development . Architect AI Solutions: Design, develop, and deploy production-ready AI/ML models (e.g., NLP, LLMs, computer vision, recommendation systems) that drive business efficiency. . Software Development: Oversee the integration of ML models into software applications, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to best practices. . Model Lifecycle Management: Define and enforce practices for data engineering, model versioning, testing, and continuous retraining. 2. Application Operations Management (MLOps/DevOps) . Infrastructure & Deployment: Build and maintain scalable, reliable ML infrastructure using Kubernetes, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform. . Monitoring & Reliability: Implement end-to-end observability (latency, drift, failures) for deployed models, utilizing tools like Prometheus, Datadog, or Grafana. . Automation: Create self-healing workflows and automated pipelines for training and deployment to reduce operational toil. 3. Team Leadership & Strategy . Mentorship: Mentor, coach, and grow a team of MLOps engineers, data scientists, and software developers, fostering a high-performance, inclusive culture. . Project Management: Drive Agile/Scrum development, translating complex business requirements into actionable technical roadmaps and ensuring on-time delivery. . Collaboration: Act as the liaison between data scientists, DevOps, and product stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and alignment. 4. Governance & Security . AI Ethics & Compliance: Ensure AI/ML systems adhere to data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, PI/PII). . Cost Management: Optimize cloud infrastructure and GPU utilization to maintain cost-efficient operations. Education and/or Experience: Must have at least 8 years of experience in technical leadership roles, advanced degree in Computer Science or relevant field preferred. . Security Clearance: TS/SCI with Poly . Travel: Must be available for worldwide assignment based on mission needs at government-specified locations, including CCMD environments. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $113,400.00 - $276,200.00.
