JAVA DEVELOPER

Location: Washington D.C.

Rate: $100K

Mid-Level Software Engineer

Our Client is seeking a highly motivated software engineer to work with our team in developing solutions for our customer in Washington D.C. This person will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining our current applications and designing, building, and deploying new custom applications.

This person will work very closely with clients, end-users, and other team members to identify needs and propose solutions. They will be responsible for determining requirements, developing schedules, and building and testing custom software solutions to meet and exceed the business needs of the customer.

Our ideal candidate for the Software Engineer position will have a solid background of web-based application development and database design.

Experience with working on a project during the full software development lifecycle is preferred. They are looking for someone who enjoys working on a small team, is eager to learn, and who has a passion for software development and getting things accomplished.

Requirements:

- Bachelor?s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related technical field

- Minimum five years hands-on software engineering experience

-

- Experience with database design; preferably Oracle

-

- Experience with web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, XML

-

- Experience with relational database technologies: SQL, PL/SQL

-

- Strong familiarity with the full software development lifecycle

-

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

-

- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain DoD top secret security clearance

-

- Ability to quickly obtain at least IAT Level I DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification

Desired Skills and Accomplishments

- Experience with web technologies: Java, jQuery

- Experience with development tools: Eclipse, jDeveloper

- Developing financial management solutions

- Active IAT Level I DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification

- Understanding of authentication and authorization concepts such as single sign-on and role based access control (RBAC)
