You will enable teams to put automation, testing and security at the center of the work and remove barriers to efficiency.--What You'll Do:--Lead, manage and grow a team of software engineers guiding the professional and technical development.Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, and mentoring other members of the engineering communityProactively identify optimization opportunities in technology and process and develop a strategic plan to drive holistic, horizontal solutions that reduce challenges and toil faced by engineersDrive prioritization, grooming and solutioning of enterprise initiatives, providing ready to implement solutions for teamsIdentify strategies for accelerating our automation journey, improving testing and security.Enhance our engineer experience through knowledge sharing, technical training and effective onboardingEncourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversityLeverage data to optimize delivery across business and technology by identifying opportunities for continuous improvement with measurable outcomes balancing data with other factors in decision makingAct as talent magnet to recruit, motivate, mentor, and lead the best delivery talentBasic Qualifications:--Bachelor's DegreeAt least 8 years of professional software engineering experience--At least 1 year experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)At least 4 years of people management experience--Preferred Qualifications:--Master's Degree10+ years of experience in at least one of the following: JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go4+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service4+ years of experience with open source frameworks2+ years of experience with ReactJS or Angular2+ years of experience with Agile practicesCapital One will consider sponsoring a new qualified applicant for employment authorization for this position.------Capital One offers a comprehensive, competitive, and inclusive set of health, financial and other benefits that support your total well-being.
