VOA is one of the nation's most comprehensive human services charities, offering programs for communities, individuals, and families. - VOA is seeking an Intern to support our Information Technology (IT) team. The selected candidate for this role will be a dynamic, self-starter to work on supporting business systems and end-user devices with an emphasis on providing a great customer service experience. - This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of -technologies and system processes while working for a prestigious faith-based nonprofit organization, which serves 1.5 million individuals per year. The selected candidate will be an integral part of the IT department as well as the intern 2023 cohort team. - During the internship, the person in this role may have the opportunity to learn technology operations, networks and more. All applicants must be flexible, self-directed and possess a strong entrepreneurial spirit, have excellent writing and communication skills, good time management, stay on task and are willing to learn new areas. This position is part-time (up to 12 hours per week) and has the capacity for Hybrid Work schedules. The internship is unpaid, however, a stipend is provided. -Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide a great customer service experience to staff on resolving technical issues
  • Responsive and follows up on technical issues in a timely manner
  • Diagnosis, troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software for in-office and remote staff
  • Resolve data and telecom connectivity issues for users including LAN and wireless networks
  • Setup and deploy end-user devices for in-office and remote staff
  • Diagnosis, troubleshoot and resolve copiers and printers on-premises or offsite
  • Provide basic training on device and application usage to staff
  • Document all technical services provided in help desk ticketing system Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, stay organized and meet deadlines Qualifications: -Physical Capabilities:
      • Lifting: Requires lifting materials up to 10 lbs.

        • Interacts with staff, consultants, outside partners and vendors -Education and Experience:
          • Students working towards a degree in Information Systems or focus on Business Administration in relevant area, preferred
