Software/Controls Engineer (DETO-22-0955-F)

Bowhead is seeking an Software/Controls Engineer with a coding experience with FPGA and/or C/C++ background to assist our team in Dahlgren, VA with the technical and operational services in support of DE projects within NSWCDD E10. Specific activities within the scope of this effort include the application of DE system technologies, deployment, and operations of High Powered Radio Frequency (HPRF) systems for a counter improvised explosive device mission-set.

Duties for this position include:
- Assisting with the design, integration, and testing of the RF generation, transmission, control, and antenna components
- Assisting with the modeling and simulation of the RF system
- Assisting with the development and execute of intermediate, component-level, and full system testing
- Communicating with Government and other contractor technical SMEs and leaders


Requirements
--- Three (3) years of experience developing user-interfaces, controls, and other software tools related to DE-systems and integrating spectrum awareness systems.
--- Demonstrated experience with Web Development using HTML/JavaScript and Windows Service Development using C#.
--- Demonstrated experience with U.S. Navy/Joint DE systems including pulsed power, RF, Laser, and CIED systems and other EMMW-related projects.
--- Preferred experience in Sharepoint development with Power Application certification.
--- Extensive experience with MS Office products
--- Experience with VNA and swept/Real-time spectrum analyzers a plus
--- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team


SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
