Due to our talented workforce, we have maintained a reputation for excellence, helping to assure the missions of our Department of Defense, Public Sector, Fortune 1000, and other Government and commercial customers.Who We Are Looking ForThe Senior-Level Unix Administrator-UNIX Team member will work with a group of UNIX/Linux Systems Administrators at the Patuxent River Data Center (PRDC). The UNIX team member will ensure that all systems on Department of Defense (DoD) networks are appropriately patched and configured to the organizationally defined hardening policies. The UNIX team member will ensure that National Help Desk incidents and service requests are completed/resolved in a timely manner as well as work on ad-hoc projects involving different systems and applications across the Data Center.Responsibilities* Responsible for assisting with patching efforts for Dev/Test, Production, and Infrastructure patching windows across multiple DoD Enclaves * Responsible for assisting with the mentoring and training UNIX/Linux Systems Administrators on completing tasks and implementing new technologies within PRDC. * Work collaboratively with other Data Center teams to provide Unix/Linux based solutions to meet business requirements.* Responsible for the creation and maintenance of Ansible playbooks and other administrative shell scripting* Effectively analyze and resolve problems involving interaction between applications, server hardware/firmware/OS and storage by working with cross functional teams and equipment vendors with minimal supervision* Participating in an on-call rotation* Taking ownership of issues/outages and seeing that the issue is resolved in a timely manor* Providing mentorship to more junior team membersRequired Skills And Experience* Clearance Required: DOD Secret Clearance* Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple assignments autonomously and in a team setting * Proficient with clear and concise verbal and written communication * Proficient Experience with UNIX/LINUX operating systems including RHEL7 with a strong emphasis on Solaris * Knowledge of DoD Information Assurance practices, including Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) process* Effectively interact with peers, management, and the PRDC customer in a constantly evolving environment to ensure a positive customer experience and atmosphere in the workplace* Experience with Ansible, Ansible Tower, and administrative shell scripting is preferred* Experience with Red Hat Satellite* A minimum of 5 years of related IT experience is required* Demonstrated experience maintaining the integrity and security of a Unix/Linux environment* A Senior-level SA with emphasis on strong Solaris experienceDesired Qualifications* Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred* Experience with Red Had Identity Management is preferred* Amazon Web Services (AWS) exposure is preferredSmartronix is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
