Payroll/Compensation Specialist - RemoteJob Summary / ObjectiveThriveworks is seeking a Payroll Specialist responsible for the accurate delivery/processing of the bi-weekly payroll. Duties include reviewing the accuracy of payroll transactions and documents, record keeping, audit analysis, and strong Excel skills. This position will work closely with our existing Payroll team members to ensure timely submission of payroll for our growing company.Salary / Total Compensation$48K - $60K depending on experienceExtremely competitive compensation and benefits package.Healthcare, Dental, Vision, and life insurance benefits - additional coverage options available such as Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Group Accident Insurance401K with 3% employer matchPaid Time OffEssential Functions IncludeResponsible for the preparation and processing of biweekly payroll for Thriveworks employees through Paychex; review and ensure accuracy of clinician payroll calculations; review time and attendance labor for unusual activity, track and deduct payroll deductions.Responsible for processing multi-state payrolls. Coordinates efforts between payroll and other departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data (including preparation/distribution of reports), non-recurring pay adjustments/bonuses, calculation of overtime, editing, and making corrections.First point of contact for employees for payroll.Researches and resolves any payroll issues that may arise.Documents workflow and work procedures.Prepares and maintains standard reports, conducts appropriate data auditsSuggest process improvements and opportunities for automationCompetency / Knowledge and SkillsHigh School Diploma, Associate degree in Accounting or business-related field.3-5 years of experience in the accounting and payroll fieldDetail-oriented, experience running high volume payroll in high paced environmentAbility to work independently while communicating effectively with the Finance TeamStrong excel and analytical skillsPosition Type and Expected Hours of WorkFull-time remote position, Monday - Friday 8am - 5pmThriveworks is a growing company that provides a challenging, welcoming, and rewarding place to work.
