Manager - Starting at $40,000Summary of Position: The Restaurant
Floor Manager position manages the restaurant operation to ensure
efficient and profitable operations. Managers are responsible for
the business performance of their restaurant, as well as
maintaining high standards of food, service, and health and safety.
Reports to the Restaurant Store Lead.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinating the entire operation of the restaurant during
scheduled shifts. Managing your staff and providing them with
feedback.
- Train your staff in all hospitality and culinary standards.
- Ensuring that all employees adhere to the company's uniform
standards and company policies and procedures.
- Understanding all company policies, procedures, standards, and
implementing them.
- Meeting and greeting customers.
- Running the front of the house and back of the house.
- Advising customers on menu and beverage choices.
- Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive,
friendly and courteous service.
- Recruiting, training and motivating staff.
- Stepping in the necessary roles when employees are absent.
- Taking responsibility for the business performance of the
restaurant. Analyzing and planning restaurant sales levels and
profitability.
- Organizing marketing activities, such as promotional events.
- Responsible for the opening and closing check out processes.
- Ensuring that all restaurant equipment is maintained and properly
working.
- Planning and coordinating menus.
- Other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of full-service restaurant experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office to include Microsoft
Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Must be technically savvy with a minimum of 2 years of experience
with restaurant POS systems, computers, and online delivery and
carry out apps.
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up 25 lbs.
without assistance and 50 lbs. with assistance.
- Work in a hot and noisy environment.
- Must have high integrity and solid work ethic.
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Expected to work long hours during peak periods, evenings, and
weekends.
- Having or obtaining a food safety and/or alcohol
certification.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of full-service restaurant experience.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office to include Microsoft
Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Must be technically savvy with a minimum of 2 years of experience
with restaurant POS systems, computers, and online delivery and
carry out apps.
- Must have Front of the House experience.
- Must have Back of House experience.
