Job Description:

MedStar Health is seeking a skilled Nuclear Med CT Technologist to join our dedicated imaging team in the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region. As part of our patient-first healthcare approach, this role is critical in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services that aid in the precise treatment and management of patient health conditions. The successful candidate will operate sophisticated imaging equipment, such as SPECT scanners and CT (Computed Tomography) machines, and ensure safe and accurate diagnostic practices in compliance with regulatory standards. Prepare and administer radioactive drugs (radiopharmaceuticals) necessary for imaging procedures. Operate SPECT and CT imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images. Monitor patient reactions and radiation exposures, ensuring adherence to safety guidelines. Maintain imaging equipment and troubleshoot any technical issues. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare team members to interpret scan results. Document all procedures and maintain accurate patient records. Stay current with advancements in nuclear medicine technology and continuous education. Proficiency in operating SPECT and CT imaging equipment. Excellent patient management skills to handle stress or discomfort. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety. Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). State licensure as required.
