MedStar Health is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician Bedside Delivery to join our team in the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region. This role is crucial for ensuring that our patients receive their prescribed medications directly at their bedside before discharge. This position involves patient interaction and close collaboration with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure an accurate and efficient medication delivery process. Deliver medications directly to patients at their bedsides prior to discharge. Explain medication instructions, side effects, and answer patient queries as per scope of practice. Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare staff to organize and track medication inventory. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations concerning medication distribution. Maintain accurate patient medication records using electronic health record systems. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using healthcare and pharmacy related databases. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and part of a team. Capable of handling sensitive patient information with confidentiality. Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred.
