MedStar Health is seeking a dedicated and skilled RN Clinical Nurse to join our Obstetrics Unit. Located in the vibrant D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region, MedStar Health prioritizes patient-centered care, offering a spectrum of services from routine maternity to advanced neonatal care. This position provides an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that emphasizes compassionate care and advanced medical practices. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting expectant mothers through the childbirth process, ensuring safety and comfort while fostering a supportive atmosphere for families. Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the obstetrics unit. Monitor maternal and fetal well-being during labor and postpartum periods. Educate and support patients and families through the childbirth process. Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Strong clinical skills in obstetric care. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in electronic medical record systems. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is preferred. Certification in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing (RNC-OB) is advantageous.
