Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Candidate must
successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum
overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.
First-time travelers accepted. Float to Med/Surg, Telemetry,
Emergency Department, and Intermediate Care as needed. 6 weekend
shifts in a 6-week period. Description: The ICU Registered Nurse
will be responsible for providing critical care to patients in the
ICU setting. The nurse will assess patient conditions and
administer medications as needed. The role requires monitoring
vital signs and responding to emergencies. The candidate must
demonstrate proficiency in interpreting dysrhythmias and managing
patients with multisystem organ dysfunction. Experience with
critical care equipment and protocols is necessary. The nurse will
work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to provide
optimal patient care. Effective communication skills are essential
for interacting with patients, families, and other healthcare
professionals. The position involves a patient ratio of 2:1 during
daytime shifts. Candidates must be prepared to manage a variety of
patient diagnoses, including respiratory illnesses, sepsis, and
renal failure. The role includes performing procedures such as IV
insertions, blood product administration, and managing ventilated
patients. Adhering to infection prevention protocols and
maintaining isolation precautions is critical. The nurse will be
responsible for participating in quality improvement initiatives
within the unit. Commitment to ongoing professional development and
continuous education is expected. Candidates should be adaptable
and willing to support various patient care areas as required.
