Job Description:
At MedStar Health, we are dedicated to providing cutting-edge,
compassionate healthcare. We are seeking a detail-oriented and
highly skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team. In
this role, you will work closely with cardiologists to diagnose and
treat heart and vascular diseases, utilizing the latest
technologies in cardiovascular care. This position demands a high
degree of precision and expertise in operating complex medical
equipment and assisting in invasive procedures. Assist in the
performance of diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiovascular
procedures. Operate specialized equipment including stents,
catheters, and other heart-related apparatus. Monitor patient's
physiologic data and coordinate with healthcare professionals to
provide effective patient care. Prepare patients and diagnostic
equipment for procedures like echocardiograms, cardiac
catheterizations. Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to
medical safety protocol. Proficiency in operation of cardiovascular
equipment, including echocardiogram and EKG machines. Strong
understanding of cardiac care and medical terminology. Ability to
work collaboratively in high-stress environments. Excellent
communication and patient-handling skills. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered
Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
(ACLS) certification required.
