Job Description Job Description The HCO Director of Nursing is a
critical part of the agency and must have experience working in the
home health setting. We are looking for an individual that is
versatile and able to wear a number of hats. This individual must
have the following: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or
higher degree is preferred. Must hold a current license as a
Registered Nurse from the Virginia State Board of Nursing. Must
have experience working in a home care agency within a supervisory
role. The responsibilities of this individual include but are not
limited to: Oversee home health program and operations. Oversee and
complete clinical documentation. Ensure agency compliance with
regulations. Experience with successfully managing home health
program within state, federal and local guidelines. Knowledgeable
on Medicaid/Medicare and VDH requirements for home health program.
Facilitate assessments and plan of care for clients. Complete and
obtain service authorization from Medicaid/Medicare. Facilitate
home visits evaluating client needs on a consistent basis.
Supervises home health staff to ensure appropriate delivery of
service in relation to plan of care. Facilitates mandated training
for home health staff at orientation and on a monthly basis.
Conducts home health aide training.
