Job Description:
Sign On Bonus up to $40,000 available for offers accepted by

Respiratory Therapist provides safe and effective respiratory care
as an advanced Respiratory Therapist for neonate, pediatric,
adolescent, adult and/or geriatric populations in accordance with
discipline training, Clinical Practice Guidelines, and hospital
standards and protocols. The Transport Respiratory Therapist
provides external and internal critical care transport according to
discipline training to include stabilization and intervention. This
job provides pre-hospital advanced life-support care to
flight/ground transport patients across the lifespan from initial
contact until patient care is relinquished to medical staff. The
Transport Respiratory Therapist serves as a respiratory care
resource and educator for patients, caregivers, hospital staff and
students. This job also functions as a shift team leader in the
absence of the supervisor.Licensure, Certification, or Registration
Requirements for Hire:Licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a
Respiratory Therapist required.Credentialed by the National Board
for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
(RRT).Current CPR and NRP required.Current related credentials
preferred (NPS, C-NPT, etc.)Licensure, Certification, or
Registration Requirements for continued employment:Current license
as a Respiratory Therapist by the Commonwealth of Virginia

REQUIRED:Two (2) years of work experience as a Respiratory
TherapistOne (1) year of work experience in NICUExperience
PREFERRED:Three (3) years of work experience as a Respiratory
Therapist.Previous affiliation or work experience in a similar
practice settingEducation/training REQUIRED:Education, training
and/or experience that has satisfied the eligibility requirements
for the National Board for Respiratory Care (or its predecessor
organizations)Education/training PREFERRED:Bachelor's Degree in
Respiratory Therapy from an accredited programIndependent action(s)
required:Cardiopulmonary assessment and monitoring, including
during emergency response; airway care; selecting appropriate
ventilators and non-ordered ventilator parameters; consulting with
providers and interdisciplinary team members regarding the
patientTo competently deliver and document routine patient care
along with safely administering prescribed medications; recognize
implications of medications with routine vs. complicated
use.Provides pre-hospital advanced life-support care to air/ground
transport patients across the lifespan from initial contact until
patient care is relinquished to medical staff.Performs duties to
provide the highest level of patient care and to maximize patient
and customer satisfaction.Maintain work areas in a clean and well
stocked manner.May include ECMO management.Perform shift team
leader role in the Respiratory Care supervisor's
