Job Description Job Description Job Title: Nurse Manager – Behavioral Health Location: Dulles, VA Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent Schedule: Day Shift | No Weekends Compensation & Incentives Salary Range: $100,000 – $145,000 per year (based on experience) Relocation Assistance: Available (HR-approved) Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package Position Overview A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager – Behavioral Health to oversee daily operations of an acute care Behavioral Health Nursing Unit. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient care through effective staff leadership, operational oversight, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day operations of the Behavioral Health Nursing Unit Provide leadership, coaching, and professional development to nursing staff Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and quality of care Oversee staffing, scheduling, workflow, and performance management Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for behavioral health patients Support crisis prevention, de-escalation, and intervention protocols Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience as a Nurse Manager, Supervisor, or Clinical Team Lead Prior leadership experience within an Acute Care Behavioral Health Unit required Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification required within 30 days of start date Preferred Experience Acute Care Behavioral Health leadership experience strongly preferred Strong background in nursing administration, staff development, and patient safety Benefits & Perks Medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage 401(k) retirement plan with employer match Paid time off (PTO) and paid family leave Tuition reimbursement and ongoing career development support Employee wellness and assistance programs For more details reach at ukhan@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 518-862-1204.
