This position involves working in a rehabilitation setting. The
schedule consists of three 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.
The nurse will be responsible for managing a patient ratio of 1:8.
The charting system utilized is Meditech. Floating requirements
include working in a skilled nursing unit or a similar
medical/surgical unit. The unit focuses on acute rehabilitation and
includes patients with stroke, neuro diagnoses, and some trauma.
Patients receive approximately three hours of physical,
occupational, and speech therapy per day. The unit comprises a
small 8-bed setup. The nurse will be the only Registered Nurse on
duty but will have access to other nurses within the facility.
Candidates must be comfortable working independently. Assistance
will be provided by Certified Nursing Assistants. Candidates must
pass fit testing and comply with facility policies. A
zero-tolerance policy for certain substances is enforced. Medical
exemptions for vaccination requirements are allowed. All requests
for time off should be included in submission documents.
