Overview We are seeking a dedicated Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist to provide locum coverage at a reputable medical center. Our facility offers a collaborative environment supporting complex pregnancies, including high-risk cases. You will work alongside an experienced team to deliver comprehensive care through outpatient and inpatient services, utilizing advanced technology and a multidisciplinary approach. Required Skills Valid medical license in Virginia or eligible for licensure Board-certified or eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine Expertise in high-risk obstetrical care, including amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling Proficiency with EMR systems, specifically EPIC or Viewpoint Strong clinical skills in managing high-risk pregnancies and fetal abnormalities Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Nice to Have Skills Experience performing fetal aortic ultrasound and cervical cerclage Additional fetal diagnostics skills Prior locum or temporary staffing experience Bilingual capabilities Preferred Education and Experience MD or DO degree from an accredited institution Completion of Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship At least 2 years of clinical experience in high-risk obstetrics Experience managing complex fetal and maternal co-morbidities Other Requirements Credentialing anticipated within 90 days Participation in on-call rotation including weeknights and weekends Comfortable working in a Level III nursery setting Ability to provide care across diverse high-risk pregnancy cases Travel costs reimbursed, including flight, hotel, rental car, or mileage per IRS standards Capitalize on this flexible locum opportunity to enhance your professional portfolio while enjoying comprehensive benefits and support.
