Position Highlights: Location: Alexandria, LA (within a 50-mile radius) Contract role with 12-hour shifts (7 am7 pm), every other weekend and holiday coverage required Unit: 4 South, a 36-bed telemetry unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio Telemetry rhythm interpretation skills and advanced nursing techniques such as PICC line and vas cath/temp cath removal are essential Essential Qualifications and Experience: Registered Nurse (RN) license with experience in telemetry or related nursing services Strong clinical assessment skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask effectively and work under pressure Positive attitude, dependability, teamwork, and excellent communication skills Certifications: BLS and ACLS required Responsibilities: Providing thorough patient assessments and monitoring vital telemetry data Performing bedside nursing duties and timely documentation using electronic health records Participating in hourly rounding, bedside shift reports, and maintaining patient care boards Adhering to unit policies, hygiene standards, and hospital dress codes Facility and Unit Overview:The hospitallicensed for 328 bedsis known for its comprehensive healthcare services, certified stroke and chest pain centers, and designation as a Level II Trauma Center. The 4 South unit employs advanced technology, including telemetry monitors, Dynamaps, bladder scanners, and mobile communication devices to enhance patient care. The staff is highly experienced, with many nationally certified nurses and an emphasis on teamwork and continuing excellence.
