with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Alexandria,
Virginia, 22304! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing

Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1-2 years of
experience in a relevant setting License: Active RN License
Certifications: BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Proficient in
neuro assessments and basic cardiac drips - Experience with
cardizem, amiodarone, and heparin drips - Familiarity with
electronic health record systems - Prior travel experience -
Ability to read and interpret ECG strips Description: Will be
required to float to all Progressive Care and Telemetry units.
Floating to other units will be within or below the scope of
practice. The unit accommodates 52 beds with a focus on
neurological patients. Demonstrate the ability to titrate various
IV drips as needed. Common patient diagnoses include stroke, chest
pain, arrhythmias, abdominal pain, post-surgical recovery, altered
mental status, dehydration, acute kidney injury, congestive heart
failure, gastrointestinal hemorrhage, fever, sepsis, and
respiratory failure. The nursing ratio in the Progressive Care Unit
is typically 1:4, which may increase to 1:5 or 1:6 on medical and
surgical floors. Patient care technicians may be available on the
unit, with ratios varying based on the unit's needs. Familiarity
with equipment such as CPAP and high-flow oxygen is essential to
respond effectively in various clinical situations. Nurses are
expected to demonstrate flexibility in scheduling and may work in
different units as needed. Weekend and holiday shifts may be
