Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CCU - Coronary Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift 3x12.0 Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Day Shift, 3x12 hour shifts. Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring adherence to the nursing care plan. As a key player, the RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants while fostering a culture focused on patient and employee safety. Responsibilities - Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to develop individualized care plans. - Identify patient teaching needs and collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team. - Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely in the medical record. - Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and provide direct patient care using the nursing process. - Initiate discharge planning and patient education proactively from the day of admission. - Communicate patient status changes to ensure continuity of care and safety. - Provide direction and supervision to ancillary nursing staff, effectively utilizing problem-solving techniques. - Contribute positively to the unit's environment through calm direction and team-building activities. - Ensure personal and environmental safety in accordance with nursing policies and procedures. - Assume charge responsibilities when requested following the orientation period. - Engage in professional development and continuing education activities. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure - BLS Certification required before the first shift. - ACLS Certification required before the first shift (for certain positions). - Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience required.
