Who We Are:The Aster Springs Richmond locations provide
residential and outpatient eating disorder treatment with housing
options in home-like settings in peaceful surroundings. With a team
of highly credentialed, experienced therapists, nutritionists, and
other team members, we ensure that each client receives
whole-person and multidimensional care that helps them progress
towards recovery. Our compassionate staff works with each client
and their family to create an individualized comprehensive care
plan that meets their needs. At Aster Springs Richmond, we provide
evidence-based treatment programs to adults of all genders, ages 18
and older.How You Will Make a DifferenceThe Part Time Registered
Dietitian will work closely with the Executive Director and
Clinical Director to provide Dietary services for Aster Springs
Virginia. This includes providing groups, education, food
challenges, and input to dietary policy/procedures.Relationships
and ContactsWithin the organization: Maintains frequent and close
working relationships with clients, Chief Executive Officer,
Nursing, Medical, Resident Care Specialist, Intake Coordinator,
Therapist, peers and vendors.Outside the organization: May initiate
and maintain working relationships with clinical providers,
referral partners and vendors as needed and directedPosition
ResponsibilitiesProvide nutritional education to
clients/staffAssist with oversight of nutritional content and
accuracyDetermine/monitor caloric intake for clientsIndividual
sessions with clients 1-2 times/weekLead and schedule food
challenge outings with clientsWork with client/staff to coordinate
discharge menus/meal plansWork closely with Executive Director on
all dietary policy/proceduresLead cooking/nutrition groups
weeklyDiscuss/meet with families during family week as
neededLead/provide resistance training for clientsDetermine/monitor
healthy weight for clientsPerform Dietary Care Specialist duties as
neededAssist with preparation of staff/kitchen to be compliant with
infection control policies and all accrediting body visitsTake
client on grocery store challengesCoordinate discharge planning
including identification and coordination of care with outpatient
dietitianCollect/review/sign off weekly client menusProvide
nutrition information for insurance reviewsWhat We're
SeekingEducation and ExperienceActive First Aid, CPR, AED
certificationCurrent Virginia Registered/Certified DietitianCurrent
ServSafe certificationBachelors Degree2 years' experience working
with eating disorders preferredValid Driver's LicenseSuccessful
completion of Criminal Background Check through DBHDS, Background
Investigation Unit, and VDSS Registry SearchesAster Springs
