Job Description:
*Job Overview*We are looking for a Part-time Dental Hygienist in
our Dental Associates of Northern Virginia Pinecrest office located
at 4604-D Pinecrest Office Park Dr Annandale, Virginia 22003 United
States to join our clinical team by providing a high level of
patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based
environment. This person will handle a variety of clinical duties
for dental office operations including cleaning teeth and examining
oral areas, head, and neck for signs of oral disease. They also may
educate patients on oral hygiene, take x rays, or apply fluoride or
sealants. All aspects of the job require an exceptional level of
customer service and communication skills.* *Pay-* $58-$62/hour*
*Schedule-* Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 8a-5p with a 1 hour lunch
break or 8a-4p with a 30 minute lunch break.*Responsibilities**
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and
oral health evaluations.* Perform dental cleanings and prophylaxis
using appropriate techniques and tools.* Educate patients on proper
oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental
visits.* Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
using four-handed dentistry techniques.* Maintain accurate patient
records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.* Ensure a clean and
safe working environment by adhering to infection control
protocols.* Stay updated on dental terminology, procedures, and
best practices within the clinic.* Collaborate with the dental team
to provide exceptional patient care in a friendly
environment.*Qualifications** Valid Dental Hygienist license in the
state of practice.* Knowledge of pediatrics is preferred but not
required.* Familiarity with medical coding related to dental
services is a plus.* Strong skills in patient assessment and
communication.* Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure
patient confidentiality.* Experience working in a dental clinic or
office setting preferred.* Proficiency in infection control
practices to maintain a safe environment.* Ability to assist
effectively in various dental procedures while ensuring patient
